Donate Items - It's
pretty easy to accumulate extra things around the house, and it
is your extras that can be quite useful to those who are starting
with very little. There are specific items we provide to our
clients. (See the complete list here.)
We are also glad to accept other household items. Some of these
extra items are passed along during our regular delivery process
Most are sold in our annual yard sale, or in our flea market
booth. The sale of these items helps us cover delivery and
operating expenses.
Volunteers are
the heart of our organization. We continue to need volunteers to:
Pick up donations
Sort and inventory
items
Make deliveries
Provide office support
Contribute Funds
- Money is needed to meet general operating expenses as well as
to purchase items that are not donated in sufficient quantities.
Tell others about Second Starts
Since our inception we have been slowly growing in our capacity
to manage inventory and our capacity to serve those in need. Most
of this progress has come through people talking about Second
Starts. The more people who are aware of the service we provide,
the more people we will be able to serve.
